The Human Friendly Outfit winner is…

As part of Blog Action Day we ran a Human Friendly Outfit competition. Today we’re delighted to announce the winners.

“Going through the outfit competition entries,” tweeted Emma Waight, one of our competition judges. “Glad I’m not the only judge. There are some great entries.”

And she wasn’t wrong. From an ethically minded yummy-mummy outfit from Recycled Fashion, to the rather Oxfam-tastic wardrobe of One Green Dress.

But a choice had to be made, and we can finally announce the winner is… Eco Bird, with her rather wonderful geometric print top she managed to fashion in many different ways.

Eco Bird said: “It is so important that we start altering the way we consume fashion and wear it. We need to understand that there are people out there suffering because of our obsession with shopping, that there are toxins choking our beautiful waterways, wildlife and eco-systems.”

Congratulations to Eco Bird. A Skunk Funk bag courtesy of Style Is… plus a £50 People Tree voucher is on its way.

We also have two runners up. In second place is Tortoise & Lady Grey who put together a beautiful outfit using vintage sari silk. A fair trade necklace from Think Boutique goes to her.

In third place is Fashion Me Fairly, for a super chic outfit featuring trousers from People Tree and a top made by herself. She wins a copy of DIY Fashion, which hopefully will help her create even more lovely outfits!

Thanks to everyone who took part for proving it really is possible to be stylish and human friendly.
