Wondering what to do with that worn out pair of jeans? Got a creative flair? Then why not take part of the Jake and Maya Collective Upcycled Denim Challenge and win great prizes.
If you hate waste but love fashion then a new competition from the Jake & Maya Collective is right up your street. All you have to do is take an old pair of jeans and turn them into something beautiful. That could be jewellery, bags, toys or dresses.
The Jake & Maya Collective are a sustainable children’s wear label. They’ve launched the Upcycled Denim Challenge as a way to reduce waste and inspire new design talent. By taking part you’ll have the chance to win £500 in vouchers, and join their design team.
The Upcycled Denim Challenge is the first in a series of challenges that will run each month for a year. After each challenge a winner will be selected to go through to the shortlist. At the end of the year an overall winner will be selected and receive the prizes. Monthly winners will receive a £50 gift voucher.
Full details of their competition can be found on their website. Closing date for The Upcycled Denim Challenge is 23.59pm (GMT) on 31st March 2013.
