Does your clothing tell a story?

The Centre for Sustainable Fashion is gathering stories about people and their clothing. Do you have one to share?

local wisdom projectThe Centre for Sustainable Fashion is gathering unique and moving stories about how people use and care for their clothing. They’re inviting members of the public to get involved to share stories and have their photos taken in their treasured piece.

The aim of the project is to challenge the way the fashion industry encourages us to always want more. Instead it will bring attention to the benefits of discovering a deeper meaning to our clothes and the joy of tending to and using garments, not just creating and buying them. The project was conceived by Dr Kate Fletcher from the Centre for Sustainable Fashion.

Stories will be collected and photographs taken on 5 December 12 – 7pm at Carnaby Book Exchange, G5, Ground Floor, Kingly Court, London W1B 5PW.
