A student from Central St Martins in London has designed a collection of accessories, that are not only beautiful but also tackles the issue of waste. Everything the collection is dervived from edible organic materials.

With our fashion landfill mountain growing the ability to leave no trace has become a design selling point. Young Ju Do, a fashion student at Central Saint Martins in London has created a collection of “compostable accessories” made from edible, biologically nutritive organic materials. When thrown back to the soil, the jewellery becomes grub for microorganisms, taking it back into the food chain.
Young said: “The cradle-to-cradle cycle is very important for [the future of textiles. It will create a new kind of throwaway culture and a new value for short-term use.”
